ALL AGAINST DEATH

Ages: 4-99

Players 1-5

Cards: Red, green, black (Death) and multicolor (Mermaid).

Object: Beat Death by completing five authentic characters, before Death gets formed.

Authentic character: only when both, symbol and color, match in all its 3 body parts.

Let´s Play:

This is a collaborative game where all the players work together as a team. Shuffle the indicated cards. Place the pile, face down, in the middle of the table.

The youngest player starts. Clockwise and taking turns, each player draws a card and place it face up. To win the team have to complete five authentic characters before Death gets formed. Otherwise, Death wins.

Whenever a player draws a body part of Death, one completed character gets eliminated and doesn`t count anymore.

THE CRAZY MONSTERS

Ages: 5-99

Players 2-5

Cards: All

Object: Score as much points as possible by forming monsters.

Set Up:

Separate the cards into three piles: heads, bodies and feet.

Shuffle each group and place it face down in the center as follows: heads at the top; bodies at the middle and feet at the bottom. Each player will take a card from each pile and will place it face up in front of them in the same position of the center piles.

Let´s Play:

Clockwise, starting with the youngest and taking turns, each player will draw a card per turn from the center pile of their choice and will put it over their own same body part´s pile. To form a monster you must have head, body and feet with the same color or symbol.

Each monster formed scores one point. Except the half-moon characters that score 2 points and The Pelona and The Sloth that score 3 points.

The Mermaid is also a wildcard; besides forms itself, its body parts can form any character as long as the body part corresponds. In this case it scores the value of the character helped to form. When two or more players score the same it is a tied. *Have paper and pencil to keep the score since the beginning.

MONSTER`S WAR

Ages: 5 -99

Players 2-5

Cards: All

Object: Score as much points as possible by forming monsters.

Let´s Play:

Shuffle the cards and put the pile face down at the center. Clockwise, starting with the youngest, each player will pick up one card from the draw pile during each

turn and will keep it in front, face up. Every time a player forms a monster will steal a card from any other player. You can steal up to 3 cards to each player per turn. When the player no longer forms a monster or had stolen 3 cards per player, it is next player`s turn.

The formed monsters must be collected aside. Once the game ends each player will count the number of points based on the value of the characters formed. Cards can be used only once and can’t be exchanged. To form a monster you must have head, body and feet, with the same color or symbol. Each monster formed scores one point. Except the half-moon characters that score 2 points and Death and Mermaid that score 3 points.
The Mermaid is also a wildcard: Besides form itself, its parts can form any other character as long as the body part corresponds. In this case it scores the value of the character helped to form. When two or more players score the same it is a tied.  

Protecting cards: Instead of drawing a card (either from the central pile or from another player when it is appropriate) the player may choose to protect a card from her/his own set. A protected card can´t be stolen throughout the game. There is no limit in the number of cards a player can protect. The player can use the protected card anytime during his/her turn. Once a card is protected it cannot be exchanged for another card. A protected card can only be stolen when the active player forms completely the Mermaid or Death. For a simpler game, before starting it, the players may agree to play without the Protecting cards rule.

Reverse: When a player forms an authentic Half Moon character will be additionally able to change the direction of the game: if the game goes to the right, then it changes to the left and vice versa. For a simpler game, before starting it, the players may agree to play without the Reverse rule.

Additional value for authentic characters: Before starting the game, the players may agree that when an authentic character is formed, it will add an extra half point in addition to its original value. Remember that an Authentic Character is: When head, body and feet fully match with the same color and symbol.
